E-signatures with evidence
Quill sends your documents for signature, walks every signer through electronic-signing consent, and seals the result with a certificate of completion — identity, timestamps, IP address, and a hash-chained audit trail. Built to satisfy the ESIGN Act and UETA.
$10 per user per month to start · Signers never need an account
An envelope is one send: your documents, your signers, your field placements. Here's the whole lifecycle.
Drop in your PDFs, add signers, and drag signature, initials, date, and text fields exactly where each person signs.
Each signer gets a private link, agrees to the e-signing disclosure, and signs from any device. Signing order is enforced automatically.
Every party receives the completed PDF with signatures stamped in place and a certificate of completion appended. Its fingerprint stays verifiable forever.
U.S. law has recognized electronic signatures since 2000. What makes one defensible is the evidence around it — Quill captures all five pillars on every envelope.
Signers take a clear, affirmative action — adopting a signature and clicking “Sign & finish” — recorded the moment it happens.
Before seeing a single field, each signer accepts the electronic-records disclosure. The exact disclosure version, timestamp, IP, and device are stored.
Private, single-recipient signing links tie every action to a named signer, with IP address and browser recorded alongside each event.
Every event is hash-chained — each entry cryptographically incorporates the one before it — and the sealed PDF's SHA-256 fingerprint is recorded at completion.
All parties can download the completed record, and anyone can verify a file's fingerprint at any time — no account required.
Pay for the people who send documents. The people who sign them never pay and never need an account.

Yes — in the U.S., the ESIGN Act and UETA give electronic signatures the same legal effect as ink when intent, consent, attribution, and record integrity are demonstrable. Quill captures each of those on every envelope and attaches the evidence to the completed document. A few document types (wills, certain family-law and court filings) are excluded from ESIGN by statute; for regulated documents, check with your counsel.
One send. An envelope can hold multiple documents and up to 20 signers, in any signing order — it still counts once. Drafts never count; only envelopes you actually send.
No. Signers receive a private link by email, consent to sign electronically, and sign from any device — phone included. They can download the completed record afterward, free.
Documents are stored encrypted at rest in Cloudflare R2 object storage and served over TLS from Cloudflare's global network. Completed envelopes are sealed, fingerprinted with SHA-256, and remain downloadable by every party.
Drop the PDF on our verification page — it computes the file's SHA-256 fingerprint in your browser and confirms whether it matches a sealed Quill envelope, without uploading the file anywhere.
